Emily Dickinson lived in the 1800s, but her poetry is still as powerful, sexy, and modern as if it were written today. She published almost nothing in her lifetime. She had difficulty with social interactions and was radically private. Looking at letters, some biographers have suggested she may have had panic attacks and agoraphobia.
